The chess set was made in 1986 and comes with the certificate and information of all the chess pieces.
All the pieces are made of pewter with a piece of felt stuck to the bottom of the chess piece. The first apposing side depict Washington as the King and his wife as the Queen all the pawns are called Life Guards from the elite infantry guard that was formed to protect him. At the opposite side we have the English lead by George as King and Charlotte as Queen and the Scottish Regiment the Black Watch as the pawns.
All the chess pieces fit into velvet covered recesses inside the chess box which is made of wood, the chess board forms part of the lid, the board is a map of the area and sea we the revolution was fought for independence from the British.
